The Magista is Nike’s ground-breaking new football boot.

In keeping with the revolutionary looking boot is a campaign that is equally reactionary. Top international footballers like Andreas Iniesta, Mario Goetze and Arda Turan feature as the principle focus of a classical painting. Leaping heroically out of an epic battle scene, they scatter their opponents with the boot’s explosive energy.

The paintings are intensely detailed, dynamic brushwork, impressionistic smudges and undulating oil paint texture is painstakingly reproduced. The paintings are completed with an ornate sculpted golden football themed frame, but the real finishing touch to these beautiful pieces was to deface them. Rapidly applied, lurid green spray paint delivers the final part of the message – Create Attack.
