Huawei P10

Ogilvy (Hong Kong)

>Project Details

We worked closely with the Ogilvy team to produce this launch film for the Huawei P10.  Our brief was to re-invent the YouTube unboxing genre.

The film was shot entirely in camera using the latest 4k high speed equipment with no CGI.  We applied a variety of analogue techniques to take the viewer on a journey through the phone’s benefits and USP’s.

Paying homage to sci-fi and Hollywood, the film is essentially a packshot brought to life through a variety of filmic techniques. Each frame was crafted as if it was a still image with the aim of creating a beautiful, stylish and memorable piece.

A crystalline and naturalistic viewing experience in a dreamlike form.

‘The approach to the shoot was one of simplicity and purity, ensuring that the real object is seen by the viewer in intimate detail.’
