Identity and covers

Blood + Fire

>Project Details

As well as designing the Blood and Fire logo, Intro is responsible for designing all the label’s album covers. The hand made nature of the sleeves are derived from the Jamaican landscape: driftwood, shacks, tin huts, faded paint and bright colours. The atmosphere of individual records is represented through these means, for example the album cover for Dub Gone Crazy is a beaten aluminium panel, which parallels the metallic reverb of King Tubby’s remixes. More recent sleeves rely on hand made, cut up collage.
